The deadline for application was 10th September 2017.

Topics of the conference are:
  • Plant genetic resources: the prerequisite for future breeding;
  • New plant genome editing technologies;
  • Breeding informatics: data collection, data analysis and data mining in the breeding workflow;
  • Phenotyping & Phenomics: from single measurements to high throughputs non-invasive technologies;
  • Breeding for intensive and semi intensive cereal production using advanced approaches;
  • Breeding for organic and low input food systems;
  • Plant adaptation to the changing environment, biotic and abiotic stresses;
  • Food safety and quality / Utilization of cereals: from bread to beer.
If you wish to attend this conference, please submit the abstract of your presentation (poster) before September 10. In parallel, please send the abstract and your CV of max. 2 pages to the STSM Coordinator (Dr Monika Kałużna, monika.kaluzna@inhort.pl), to the Chair (Dr Ralf Koebnik, ralf.koebnik@ird.fr) and to the Grant Holder Administrator (Audrey Canado-Janjon, audrey.canado-janjon@ird.fr).

Please inform us about the acceptance of your presentation as soon as you have the notification from the organiser (September 15). All applications will go through selection by the STSM Committee and successful applicants will be made aware of the decision by end of September. Sending your application does NOT mean that you are allocated a place at the conference. Please do not make any travel bookings until you have received confirmation that your application has been approved.

Successful applicants will be eligible for reimbursement by the EuroXanth COST Action. Travel, accommodation and subsistence costs as well as the registration fee will all be reimbursed, in line with the COST Travel Reimbursement Rules. Please consult the COST Vademecum for more details on eligibility for application and the reimbursement rules. Please be aware that you need to provide all travel documents and relevant receipts (registration fee) within 4 weeks after return from the conference in order to get reimbursed.

If you are aware of other conferences with relevance to the EuroXanth COST Action, please feel free to share your suggestions with us so that we can include them in future Conference Grants calls.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.

With kind regards,
Monika Kałużna (STSM Coordinator)
Ralf Koebnik (Chair)
Audrey Canado-Janjon (Grant Holder Administrator)
