Call

Dear colleagues,
We are delighted to announce the opening of the 2nd call for a Conference Grant from the COST Action EuroXanth. Conference grants are intended to support the participation of Early Career Investigators[1] from Inclusiveness Target Countries[2] at international conferences.
We are now receiving applications for the European Conference on Xylella fastidiosa (https://www.efsa.europa.eu/it/events/event/171113) in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, from November 13 to 15, 2017.
The deadline for application was 1st September 2017.
The conference will provide a platform for in-depth discussion on the results of research into X. fastidiosa and its vectors, in support of on-going efforts to control the European outbreaks. As well as speakers and participants from Europe, the conference will be attended by scientific experts from other parts of the world – such as Brazil and the United States – where X. fastidiosa has been present for many years.
If you wish to attend this conference, please send the abstract and your CV of max. 2 pages to the STSM Coordinator (Dr Monika Kałużna, monika.kaluzna@inhort.pl), to the Chair (Dr Ralf Koebnik, ralf.koebnik@ird.fr) and to the Grant Holder Administrator (Audrey Canado-Janjon, audrey.canado-janjon@ird.fr) before September 1.
All applications will go through selection by the STSM Committee and successful applicants will be made aware of the decision by September 7, thus allowing you to register in time at the conference website (deadline: September 8). Sending your application does NOT mean that you are allocated a place at the conference. Please do not make any travel bookings until you have received confirmation that your application has been approved.
Successful applicants will be eligible for reimbursement by the EuroXanth COST Action. Travel, accommodation and subsistence costs as well as the registration fee will all be reimbursed, in line with the COST Travel Reimbursement Rules. Please consult the COST Vademecum for more details on eligibility for application and the reimbursement rules. Please be aware that you need to provide all travel documents and relevant receipts (registration fee) within 4 weeks after return from the conference in order to get reimbursed.
If you are aware of other conferences with relevance to the EuroXanth COST Action, please feel free to share your suggestions with us so that we can include them in future Conference Grants calls.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.
With kind regards,
Monika Kałużna (STSM Coordinator)
Ralf Koebnik (Chair)
Audrey Canado-Janjon (Grant Holder Administrator)
