COST Action CA16107 EuroXanth

Workshop 2020 #1 (Brussels)

The EuroXanth COST Action held its 3rd Workshop at the COST Association in Brussels, Belgium, on February 25-26, 2020. COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) is a funding organisation for research and innovation networks. Their Actions help connect research initiatives across Europe and beyond and enable researchers and innovators to grow their ideas in any science and technology field by sharing them with their peers. COST Actions are bottom-up networks with a duration of four years that boost research, innovation and careers.

The workshop welcomed participants from nine countries (see below) who advanced on the drafting of Pathogen Profiles for regulated xanthomonads, such as those that are listed as quarantine organisms by the European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organization (EPPO). This activity is tightly linked to Deliverable 9 (Protocols for resistance and pathogenicity screening of the most important crop species and bacterial strains covered by the EuroXanth COST Action; WG2 & WG3) but also covers aspects of Deliverables 5, 6, 10, 11 and 12.
